Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts, a farmer was the first Roberts to move to Atlanta. In the early years of his life, her dad became fascinated by acting. He acted on at the Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions that were staged around Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was inducted into the airforce in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. In 1955, the couple married and in 1956 their son Eric Anthony was born. In 1957, the couple quit the air force and Walter enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the family relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for children called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. They established an Actors and Writers Workshop in that same year. It ran for six years. They also had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also known as Julie) in this time.
