Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on 8 August 1976. She was youngest among four kids. Audrey's parents who was both dentists as well as a teacher, understood and encouraged their daughter's love for acting and drama on an early stage. This support was more than enough to combat her desire to become the first primatologist. She rose to prominence as an actress in her early years and achieved great achievement. The beginning of her career came at the age of 1999 when she started acting professionally. After her studies, Tautou took part in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou, who attended her school at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and studied there at the age of a child she has since renounced her Catholic childhood. She now claims to be a non-Catholic. Alongside her acting career, Tautou pursued modelling and was the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. A keen photographer, she has recently exhibited at the Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. Her photographs is mainly focused on celebrities and fame. The camera's focus is on journalists who examined her during her rise to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou's international success and fame soared after her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead woman in Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a box-office international success, and received accolades at award ceremonies around the globe. It is the most successful French language film to date in the US. In the following year, she appeared in British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's The long day of the fiancailles. After that, Tautou went to Hollywood where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
