Eve was born in London England the daughter of actors Trevor Eve and Sharon Maughan. Jack and George are her brothers. They have been raised in both their home in the United Kingdom as well as Los Angeles. She went to Bedales School and then took her A-Levels in Westminster School in London. In her time off, she attended the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then took English in St Catherine's College Oxford. When she was at Oxford she was a student in the productions such as An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers (which went on tour for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival) Scenes from an Execution as well as The Colour of Justice. Eve's TV credits include BBC show The Rotters Club Poirot Hawking and the film Stage Beauty (2004). Eve played major roles in the 2006 films Starter for 10 as well as Big Nothing. She and Simon Pegg both used American accents. Her early 2006 was spent in India and working on a mini-series of drama known as Losing Gemma. The series revolves around backpackers. Her ethnicity is diverse and is the child of an Indo British father named Anthony Mitra (of British descent), and an Irish mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra is one of the three siblings. She has an older sibling Jason Mitra. Her younger brother is a renowned journalist for travel and his writings have appeared in Lonely Planet and The Sunday Times.
