Katherine Heigl shares the ways that growing up in a 'white bubble' has impacted the way that she parented her adopted multiracial family. In an interview with actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her looks didn't bother her. But after speaking to her adopted sister from South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of how much different their lives were. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being that she was treated differently when going out with our parents and when she went out on her own. She said: 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed everything!' Heigl admitted to her parents that she realized the extent of her ignorance. She confessed that she was mad and felt that she had to channel this anger to support her daughters. Heigl is married to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old young and Black in 2012.
