Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television series The Office, for which she won the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from An Ensemble Comedy.
Jenna was raised in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna's mother Anne was a performer in church dramas as a child, and this instilled an enthusiasm for theatre.
She's an actress trained who was back in theater following The Office. The Off-Broadway production Reasons To Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. She went on to star at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking show at The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has been hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads within its initial two years. Office Ladies, which was released in the month of October, won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Month award for the month of January in 2021.
She's the author of The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey) The book tells her story of moving to St. Louis to Hollywood as a professional actress is detailed.
